Got this from a friend on FaceBook. I’m sure not as offensive as drawing a picture of Mohammad but certain to raise the ire of Jihadists and those humorless devotees to political correctness in the West.

Any ideology, religious or irreligious, that leads to the slaughter of innocents must be reformed or destroyed.
Two weeks ago my wife and I were out shopping for some decorations and supplies for our upcoming Halloween party. When the total amount of the purchase finally scrolled up on the electronic register display, I noted the coincidence that the digits read “111.11“.
Last week, I approached our microwave to heat water for lunch. The last cook cycle had been interrupted and showed several seconds remaning. I hit the clear button to reset the cook time and noted that the display had resorted to the current clock time, “11:11“.
Until a few days ago I didn’t think much about these two incidents until encountering a sentence in a book I am reading, titled “Apocolypse 2012“, written by Lawrence E. Joseph. It reads as follows:
“In other words, whatever energy typically streams to Earth from tne centerpoint of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12, at 11:11 P.M. Universal Time, for the first time in 26,000 years.”
After reading this and wondering about the coincidence of the seeing these repeated digits, I began joking to my family about the significance of the time digits and the approach of the date12/21/2012, significant as the end of the current age according to the Mayan calendar, and to be sensationalized as an end-of-world type disaster in the upcoming movie “2012″ by Roland Emmerich.
I am typically skeptical about concepts such as numerology, mysticism, and other ideas not grounded with scientific proof. A little searching on the web gave me a Wikipedia entry with links about “11:11“, though still not convincing to me. But now I am beginning to wonder if I shouldn’t take it more seriously.
Last night, while entertaining guests, my wife asked our son what time it was. He opened his cell phone at the precise time of “11:11“.
This morning I was cleaning up after the party. After lunch I retrieved my cell phone from it’s charger and noticed there was a missed call icon. Upon viewing the missed message I didn’t recognize the incoming number, but as you may surmize, the call was made at “11:11“.
OK, so it’s probably nothing but I’m going to keep track of the times I see “11:11” just in case!
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. I am just playing with my blog layout and will end up deleting this anyway. Be prepared for thoughtless thoughts and unfeeling feelings being expressed.
