Yet again political correctness and “diversity” trump free expression and trample the American flag. At a public school in California a student was told to remove the US flag from his bicycle “to avoid tension on campus”.

I’ll leave the full text of the news story for you to read but I was struck by what the district superintendent of the public schools, Edward Parraz, was quoted as saying, claiming he is trying to avoid racial tensions.

“(The) First Amendment is important,” Superintendent Edward Parraz said. “We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsiblity.”

He doesn’t elaborate on what that “responsibility” might be but it seems as though he is equating proudly displaying the National flag with screaming fire in a crowded theater.

Parraz said the campus has recently experienced some racial tension. He said some students got out of hand on Cinco de Mayo, though no details were given on the Cinco de Mayo event, leaving me to wonder which “group” might have gotten out of hand.

Here is the gem quote

“Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they’ll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don’t really want,” Parraz said. “We want them to appreciate the cultures.”

Aside from the obvious multiculturalism indoctrination that he closes with, this guy is the superintendent of the schools and clearly sacrifices grammatical correctness for political correctness. One might worry that this inarticulateness may permeate the educational system in the school district.

Parraz said if a disruption arises over a flag, they want it to be taken down to protect the safety of all students.  Ironically, outside of the school, a large U.S. flag flies from atop a flagpole.

Multiculturalists Rejoice!

Now, kids, don’t judge the torchers as savage. It’s just a cultural difference and political correctness requires that we keep any negative opinion to ourselves.

Only in America – According the the New Jersey Supreme Court, non-English speaking drunk drivers are immune from prosecution if they  can’t understand police commands spoken in English, This is the result of minority coddling, ridiculous multiculturalism, and culture-destroying political correctness at work.

Listen to the following to understand Mexico’s immigration laws and their ridiculous rejection of US immigration laws.

For a better life, OK!

But I’d like to say

“Let’s do it with some kind of order!”

Let me state up front that I am a skeptic of strictly “man caused” climate change – we may have some impact but solar activity and natural cycles deserve more credit in my opinion. That being said the issue of climate change will be the driving force behind the next attempt at immigration reform. I say this based on my below summary of a news story out of the Copenhagen climate summit and my thoughts that follow.

Climate Change Tent City?

Climate Change Tent City?

At the recent Copenhagen summit to discuss climate change, WorldNews reported on a “substantive paragraph” dealing with “adaptation to climate change” that is being considered for inclusion into any agreement out of the summit. The text of the paragraph is not released but the focus is on dealing with people impacted or displaced by the effects of climate change. A name for these displaced people started out as “climate refugees” but has been dropped and may be replaced by the phrase “climate change-induced displacees”.

There will be a demand to provide logistics and financial support for the “displacees” as well as international cooperation and the expectation that nations will open their borders to accept the “refugees”. Buried in the story are references to people affected by natural disasters, conflict and generalized violence. Estimates for people displaced by rising sea levels and natural disasters have grown from 50 million in 2010 up to as much as a billion by 2050.

Here is the complete WorldNews story.

A few thoughts occurred to me as I read this article.

  • - I’m certain these estimates made by “man-caused” climate change advocates will find a climate based cause for any disaster or conflict. Besides rising sea levels, any weather-related disaster and possibly earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves – almost any naturally occurring event – will be attributed to “man-caused” climate change. But beyond this, weak economies, civil unrest, tribal conflicts, genocide and other “man caused” -human suffering will be attributed to climate change for reasons such as food scarcity, lifestyle changes or just plain fear.
  • - As an example, when blaming economic suffering due to climate change, consider that when petroleum use is significantly reduced as desired by the climate change proponents the petroleum producing countries will suffer losses in revenue. Could they then claim economic hardship due to climate change and demand some of their population be accepted into other nations as “displacees”? Yeah, my combination of xenophobia and Islamophobia has reared its ugly head and I am imagining Jihadists moving into Western nations (their sworn enemies) under the guise of “climate change”.
  • - Climate “displacees” will move to developed, wealthier nations further burdening these nations beyond what the LDC’s (lesser developed countries) are expecting in payment for climate mitigation. Any agreements out of Copenhagen or any future climate change negotiations will likely require nations to revise immigration policies to favor “victims” of climate change.
  • - This increased influx of climate change migrants will accelerate the fracturing of the host societies because political correctness and multiculturalism will, as is the case now, provide accommodation rather than expect assimilation. The “displacees” will, with encouragement from climate change advocates, see themselves as “victims” and likely to be more strident in demanding concessions and services.
  • - The last attempt at major immigration reform in America was not passed with the contentious issue of amnesty for illegal immigrants being the biggest stumbling block. The next attempt at immigration reform will be pushed by both the advocates and potential “refugees” demanding amnesty as a condition because “climate change has made it impossible for them to return home”.

Imagine living in an apartment building with other tenants that, though languages and specific cultural customs may differ, share common values. Imagine that the tenants have agreed to let the landlord make all decisions about life in the apartments. Imagine that outside are camped vagrants, some possibly harmless and just asking for help, some obviously dangerous and unwilling to reform or compromise. Out of ideological empathy or possibly fear, the landlord decides that tenants must allow some vagrants to live inside their apartments, providing food, clothing, and healthcare without being able to demand any recompense. Criminal activity, violence and disrespect for rules of occupancy are to be expected yet tenants aren’t allowed to evict or even judge such behavior. This mental exercise is nearly a reality for the nation-states in the EU. Most recently with the UN and French officials demanding that the UK accept immigrants to be displaced from a migrant camp slated for destruction in France.

From a recent MailOnline story, “When ‘The Jungle’ is razed, how many migrants will Britain take from Calais this time?”:

Britain was under pressure yesterday to take in hundreds of migrants who have been living in a shanty town in Calais known as The Jungle. The UN’s refugee chief said Britain should take a share of the migrants who are to be evicted from their shacks when French officials clear the camp, probably early next week. As many as 2,000 foreigners live rough in the Calais area with about 800, mainly from Iraq and Afghanistan, camped in The Jungle.

The proposal by Antonio Guterres raised the prospect of a repeat of the British humiliation when France closed the Red Cross refugee camp at Sangatte seven years ago. Then Britain accepted and gave four-year work permits to 1,200 migrants who had been waiting near the Channel Tunnel mouth in the hope of making a crossing and claiming asylum.

But three months later, it emerged that the great majority had refused work and were costing taxpayers £100,000 a day in benefits.

Clearly they either can’t learn from past mistakes or the blindness of political correctness prevents the UK, the UN, and most of the West from using the necessary discrimination at our borders.
