Taliban Meets Tinsel Town

By rddionne · Comments (0)

Got this from a friend on FaceBook. I’m sure not as offensive as drawing a picture of Mohammad but certain to raise the ire of Jihadists and those humorless devotees to political correctness in the West.

Like Orcs streaming out of Mordor

Illegals cross the border

For a better life, OK!

But I’d like to say

“Let’s do it with some kind of order!”

Multiculturism is claimed best

Even secularists think it “blessed”

When stirring together

Do we stop to think whether?

To keep just the good, toss the rest?

On NBC’s Meet The Press this past week there was some discussion about the threat of domestic terrorism. Senator Joe Lieberman (CT – Ind), the chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, and Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of Homeland Security, appeared to provide opinion about this threat.

The following news item from Voice of America reports some of the comments made by these gentlemen:

A Thought of the Day

“Human rights should only extend to those displaying human responsibilities.”

Conservative-minded people aren’t against health care for all. We are angry that elitist mandates are crafted and passed as legislation using the tactics of condescension, coercion, and bribery.

“Allowing the unmotivated, uneducated, and un-American to define our legislation is the death of our nation. “

Back in the mid-90′s I lived in Alb, NM. There was a gang shooting at a remote cabin where two adults were shot to death. But it took several days for the two toddlers left in the home to die of starvation. Evidence shows the poor kids tried to open cans of food but could not.

After capturing the shooters, the news reported that in an interrogation, when asked about the children suffering, the killer responded, “so what, they ain’t blood.”

This is an example of why I am conservative and feel no qualms about the death penalty for vile humans!

Imagine a New York hotel at Ground Zero operating with a focus on 9/11. Perhaps my feelings about the events of Sept. 11th, 2001, makes me question exploiting the most traumatic event in modern America but if not for the copyright infringement would they call it “The Tower of Terror”? Perhaps provide a simulated 13-story free fall for the entertainment and excitement of the guests?

Letter to Editors from Dr. Starner Jones

Dear Mr. President:

During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B; ringtone.

While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as “Medicaid”! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman’s health care? I contend that our nation’s “health care crisis” is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a “crisis of culture”, a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that “I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me”.

Once you fix this “culture crisis” that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you’ll be amazed at how quickly our nation’s health care difficulties will disappear.

Respectfully,

STARNER JONES

He has been called a racist for the letter http://activerain.com/blogsview/1374274/dr-starner-jones-md-racist-of-the-week & http://www.osborneink.com/2010/01/dear-dr-starner-jones-md/

Mixed responses, some supportive, some in sarcastic opposition, some appalled. http://spotlight.vitals.com/2009/10/dr-roger-starner-jones-muses-crisis-culture/
