Why does the President and his current crop of cronies avoid expressing the deserved truth about Islamic extremism in the face of clear and continuous evidence? Is it out of concern that “irrational” American citizens will lash out against Muslims due to mistrust and fear? Could they be thinking that terrorist anger will be mitigated by our avoiding accusations and appearing non-confrontational?  Is it  for fear of angering the majority of allegedly “moderate”, peaceful Muslims?  Whatever the reason, watch as AG Eric Holder refuses to acknowledge an undeniable truth.

Or consider the changes in our terminology about the “War on Terror” as espoused by Janet Napolitano and the Obama administration.

Pretending we can’t connect obvious jihadist terror attempts with the religion that is the basis for such actions will not make the problem go away. Conversely, it magnifies the problem of Islamic terrorism in that it emboldens the enemy and cripples our defense. Our nations leaders, tasked with the responsibility of defending the nation, refuse to speak openly and honestly about Islamic terror. In fact, they have been attempting to minimize concerns about Islamic terrorism by equating it with extremist groups in the West or exaggerating  the threat of “right wing” extremism  to misdirect our concerns. This not only insults the intelligence of most citizens but also shows their unwillingness and inability to hold our national defense as their primary charge.

The Islamic extremists already hate us and want to kill us. We will not assuage the hostility of this misguided group by refusing to clearly and accurately attribute their actions and ideology to Islam. In fact, our theater of political correctness makes the West appear weak in the eyes of this enemy. There are  apologists for Islamic extremism in the West that actually use our addiction to political correctness to support the growth of Islam and spread of sharia throughout the Western world.

We could hope that the majority of Muslims, being “moderate” and peaceful, would understand any clear message aimed at the violent extremists. Rather than take offense at criticism of the terror-prone adherents of Islam as being criticism of all Islam, shouldn’t we expect that Muslims rejecting terrorism stand up against savage Muslim jihadists? Their claim of a peaceful religion would be demonstrated by standing up en masse and condemning their savage brethren. Sadly, there has been too much silence.

Like a trio of disabled monkeys – blind, deaf, and mute – Obama, Holder and Napolitano refuse to admit a perception of Fundamentalist Islam  that would be apparent to even a child.
